Cozy Dining in Fayetteville, GA
The above picture shows my grandfather, Judge Graves, in front of this building. The picture taken here on the Courthouse Square shows him in an ox-drawn wagon almost directly in front of this building in the early 1900’s. My father, Joseph L. Graves, also founded his business here in Fayette County in 1969, Graves Used Cars and Parts Inc., which is still operating today. Generations of the Graves family have called Fayette County home. As a 1967 graduate of Fayette County High School, where I also taught for 23 years, I have raised my family here in Fayette and am now enjoying my grandchildren here in the county I love. After retiring from FCHS in 2006, it was my retirement dream to open a place where I could combine the things I love most: family, friends, food, and fun. You will find them all here at Olde Courthouse Tavern.
Olde Courthouse Tavern is meant to be a place where the food combines old-time favorites with a southern flair, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere with old-time charm.
As owner of Olde Courthouse Tavern, I hope your visit is enjoyable and that you become a good olde friend here at our Tavern on the Square! We hope to see you again and again!
Olde Courthouse Tavern is an independently owned and friendly establishment built in the style of an old English Pub, with all rough sawed wood materials, the furnishings have a character and style that is reminiscent of old world design.
